COST
The total price of this prop will be £4000.00 + Shipping. We are taking pre-orders with a none refundable deposit of £1000. You can pay in full or the remainder of your balance can be paid in instalments whilst we create it. Please contact us to place your Pre-order, thanks!
DESIGN
We are meticulous in our design phase, researching every detail before we finalise and print it. This will be an extremely accurate representation of this amazing movie prop. We then figure out the best ways to build it for time, cost and efficiency.
MATERIALS
For the prototype, the top skin of Han will be 3D printed, as will the side panel details. These will then be sanded, filled, smoothed and painted. The rest will be ply wood built around a wooden frame with an accessible back panel to electronics. Yes, this will have fully working LED panels! We may look at ways of casting Han so our workflow is faster and more efficient and will likely be in a durable hard resin or plastic.
SIZE
Size will be 1:1 life size scale (Around 7 ft tall!)
WEIGHT
We have no idea at this stage. We will build it as lightweight as possible for practical shipping costs to our customers, but the frame will be solid and long lasting and due to the size and insurance value of the prop, shipping may be premium.
SHIPPING
As aforementioned we do not know the finished weight of this yet until we build it and therefor cannot give accurate shipping costs at this stage until we have a finished protoype. We will find the best possible service at the best possible price which must be paid on the remainder of your balance when your item is ready to ship. Alternatively we can probably deliver personally within the UK for a fee to ensure safety and you are of course, always welcome to pick up from the workshop in Leeds, West Yorkshire.

HOW LONG
Our design phase takes around 2 weeks to create and modify in 3D. It will then be 1-2 weeks of printing and checking everything is correct. We then start building our prototype! This will be 2-3 weeks. So from conception to first finished product we are looking at around 1-2 months. Once we have our build techniques down it will be approx 1 month to build each one. Due to the size of the prop, we are working on a Pre-order system to help finance the larger facilities required to be able to build this and make more available for people, so it really is a case of: ‘Please be patient with us while we figure everything out and get to building your individual piece.’
This means - We know you’re excited and we’re extremely grateful for your order, your trust and investment in us, please don’t bug us every 5 seconds (or at all) asking if its built yet. Seriously, this is the one hatred of all artists, it slows us down, makes us not want to build it or take the care it deserves because we feel rushed by you and therefore resentful. This is the worst possible environment or head space for us to be creative and all prop builders share the exact same frustration with people who do this. By all means, check in with us (once), or follow our social media for updates. If we’ve advised you on timings, we then expect to be left alone to do it. Any continuous emails or messages of this nature (relentlessly bugging us)
